From Bedroom Studio to Fashion HQ: How Opposites Attract Found Its Creative Home at ReadySpaces Houston
Stitched with Purpose
Keosha Jenkins has been building her fashion vision for nearly a decade. What started in 2017 as a creative venture rooted in her passion for design has evolved through years of refinement, ultimately relaunching in 2025 as Opposites Attract—a women’s ready-to-wear clothing brand that blends bold creativity with wearable elegance.
But Opposites Attract is more than off-the-rack fashion. Keosha is also a custom gown designer, crafting made-to-order wedding dresses and prom gowns for clients who want something truly one of a kind. Between her ready-to-wear line and her custom work, she’s running a full-scale fashion operation: designing patterns, cutting fabric, sewing on industrial machines, managing inventory, and packaging orders for shipment.
For years, all of that happened in one place: her bedroom.

When Home Isn't Enough
Running a fashion brand from a spare bedroom is a rite of passage for many designers. But there’s a ceiling to what a home workspace can support—especially when industrial sewing machines are involved. The noise, the space constraints, the inventory piling up in every corner, and the blurred line between personal life and professional work all take a toll.
Keosha knew she needed to make a change. She started searching for a suite or warehouse that could handle the unique demands of her business: somewhere to house her industrial sewing machines without noise concerns, store her growing inventory, and actually work out of full-time.
As Keosha describes it: “I was looking for a suite or unit or something, but with me having these industrial sewing machines, I needed somewhere I can house my inventory, and that I can work out of, and that’s not too loud.”
It’s a challenge that creative entrepreneurs and makers face constantly—needing a space that functions like a workshop and an office simultaneously, without the price tag or commitment of a traditional commercial lease.
The Price She Didn't Believe
Keosha found ReadySpaces on Google and booked a tour. General Manager Jamie walked her through the facility, showed her the available units, and then shared the pricing. Keosha’s reaction? Disbelief.
The all-inclusive model—WiFi, electricity, lighting, security, parking, and shared amenities bundled into one transparent monthly rate—meant she could get a professional, fully equipped workspace without the financial strain of a conventional lease. No hidden fees, no utility negotiations, no build-out costs for a first-time commercial tenant.
She moved into a 270 sq ft office space at ReadySpaces Houston | East of Downtown, and the impact was immediate.

More Than Square Footage
For Keosha, the move to ReadySpaces wasn’t just about having more room. It was about having a place that felt like a real business—because it was one.
“I’m able to go to my OFFICE, to a place to work, and that just gives me the energy and the boost that I need.” — Keosha Jenkins, Creative Director & Founder, Opposites Attract
Inside her 270 sq ft unit, Keosha has built a complete fashion production studio. Her industrial sewing machines have a permanent home. She has dedicated space for pattern work and cutting. Her inventory is organized and accessible. And when orders are ready to ship, she packages them right there in the same unit.
It’s the full design-to-delivery workflow, all under one roof—something her bedroom could never offer. And because ReadySpaces units are built to accommodate light industrial and maker activity, the noise from her sewing machines isn’t an issue the way it would be in a traditional office suite or co-working space.
The ReadySpaces Advantage for Fashion Entrepreneurs
The fashion industry sits at a unique crossroads between creative studio, light manufacturing, and retail logistics. Designers like Keosha need space that can serve all three functions without forcing them into an oversized warehouse or an undersized office.
ReadySpaces’ flexible unit sizes gave Keosha exactly the right footprint—not too big, not too small—with the infrastructure to support industrial equipment and inventory storage. The gated security and 24/7 access mean her valuable fabrics, machines, and finished garments are protected around the clock, and she can work on her own schedule when deadlines demand late nights or early mornings.
The shared amenities and professional environment round out the experience. As Keosha tells fellow entrepreneurs: “If you wanna look for some space, shared space, the environment is cool, the amenities… You have everything you need!”
Designed for Growth
Opposites Attract’s 2025 relaunch represents a new chapter for Keosha Jenkins—one built on years of experience, a refined creative vision, and now, a professional workspace to match. Moving out of her bedroom and into ReadySpaces didn’t just give her more square footage. It gave her the separation, the energy, and the infrastructure to operate like the fashion brand she’s been building toward for eight years.
For designers, makers, and creative entrepreneurs looking for a Houston workspace that takes their business as seriously as they do, Keosha’s story is the blueprint: find a space that fits your craft, your budget, and your ambition—and watch what happens when you finally have room to work.
